Question

Thanks for hosting this forum. So many vets have so many questions it's just amazing what you fellows are doing here.

Unfortunately I'm no different and am hoping to have a few questions andwered. Keeping short and sweet, money is tight and now that I am retiring from the military I would like to know about how much I can expect to receive upon my retirement orders.

I have a VA rating of 80%= $1700 a month

and an Army DOD rating of 70% combat related injurys from several OIF/OEF deployments equaling $2986 a month.

Can I expect to either CRDP or CRSC?

and if so how much am I looking at or which one would be more beneficial?

Thanks in advance again for your contiued service! Our country truly is extraordinary and I honestly believe we are blessed to be Americans.

Indeed we are Blessed!

This link should help:

https://www.dfas.mil/retiredmilitary/disability/payment.html

and if you use our search feature for CRSC CRDP, more info should pop up....we have both CRDPers and CRSCers here.

CRDP is automatic ( meaning the VA is supposed to contact DFAS themselves.)

But you might be eligible for CRSC instead..as it appears to be the case here ..... which ever one provides the best $ benefit.

You are sure doing the right thing by checking into all this now,and hopefully they will have a retirement briefing on it all too.

Thank you for your service!
