Pending Decision Approval - Deferred Contention

Question

Good Morning all!

I recently separated from the Navy and put in for my quick start VA claim prior to discharging. Compared to many other people I've read about, my claim has moved along rather quickly and i'm now "Pending Decision Approval". When it updated I noticed that the VA required another examination from the VA medical facility. I called the 800 number and was told that one of my claims was being deferred and the rest were still pending decision approval.

So my question: (and this is mostly just to make me feel better)

Is this a good sign? I've read that typically if the VA was going to deny a claim they would just wait and deny everything together rather than defer single contentions. I'm inclined to believe that since they are deferring one of my contentions that at least one of my other contentions is getting approved (since this will make their numbers look better).

Any experience you guys could input would be appreciated. I'm trying not to stress over this, but it's hard not to worry about it!

Thanks everyone,
