Help with some VARO and NOD questions

Question

Hello,

First time user so please bear with me

I got a phone call from my VARO yesterday, apparently the Appeals department he said. I entered an NOD in 2016, for PTSD and Migraines. I sent in DBQ's for both, Nexus letters for both etc... After they received the NOD they requested more information from my Psychologist, which she in turn sent them 38 more pages of treatment. Since then I have heard nothing until yesterday. The man from the VARO said he just had a question about one of my stressors and asked a few questions. He said he had all my other paperwork and DBQ's and Nexus.  He then stated he was the one who gathered the information so I am assuming he was a VSR. At the end of our conversation he said my claim was flagged and needed to be completed quick. I asked how long till it was done, as the cost of my Meds alone is killing me as I have six children to care for etc..... and he said he would give it to the VARO as soon as he was done reviewing it which would be the end of the day, and said by next week!!!!

My questions, is it normal for a VARO to call with questions, and if so how long after will the claim be completed, he said next week but is that even possible I have been waiting awhile, and according to my VSO, VA doctors and my own Psychologist there is no way it shouldn't be approved, which of course now has be thinking it will be ugh.. anyway, any thoughts would help, and thank you all for your service.

Look at it like this a denial is just to show you in the statement of the case of what you didn't show to them to prove your case and what you  do next is your own route you could appeal get the evidence submit it and wait for a long time or if you have the evidence reopen it or third just file a new claim for the same contention with the right evidence just one issue on the FDC route that would move rather quick. Do not file several issues with the FDC it just gets put into the slow path again. Others will chime in I'm just sharing my experience...

Honestly, I think I will give up after this. There is no way on earth anyone reviewing it should deny, all of my doctors both VA and private have said this. Why would they request more information from y private psychologist? I have Nexus letters, as well as DBQ's, I would think that would be enough, but again I have no idea what I could give them if it was denied that would make it get approved, so if this doesn't work, I am done I think

How did it work out for you L? Again I have given them everything and my private psychologist even gave them another 38 pages of information after they requested it as well as the nexus letters and DBQ's

do you know your appeal handler ext? Where's your RO? If you have ebenefits review your medical record on their when you select the dates just select when you orginally filed your claim and then today under custom selection. Also select the tab to all medical records. When you finally are looking at the PDF of your downloaded record hit control button with the f button and a search tab pops up. If you search Decision just hit the next until you see the judge. And the va employee in charge of your appeal. He's or her extension might be there. I have no life and no ebenefits by every nook and cranny. Or the easy way is to go to your RO  and ask if you can speak with the one handling your claim as I did and Philly RO Va workers are not bad as the reputation says they are. They have always helped me

Well, I am gonna give it till next week like the Lady in DC said. Yes it is the Philly VARO, I just cant imagine it being denied after they asked for all the other information etc... but again it's the VA we are talking about. I can just go to the PHILLY RO and ask to speak to whomever is working my claim really???
