Houston VARO - Flooded or What?

Rate this question

Question

FWIW, I am five years into my claim and appeal.  FORM 9 filed over a year ago, and now I am worried about further delays... 8-(

QUESTION: What is the status of the Houston VARO after the Hurricane Harvey floods and ongoing power outages in that area?

Does anyone have an update?

I don't think the VARO itself is underwater, as the VARO is on a slight rise.  However, delays may be caused by the VARO staff not being able to get into work, or taking leave to tend to their families and property.

Thanks for the information.  I checked Google Earth and it shows the VARO at 50ft and their parking lots at 40ft elevation.  The channelized Braeswood Bayou looks to about at 12ft.  Don't know what that translates to but can only hope they got missed.

Staff not being able to get to work is understandable.  Just don't want to see that any physical records get destroyed, remembering the 1973 fire that destroyed so many.
