You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

HI All,

I just checked ebenefits and my claim went from Gathering of Evidence to Prep for Decision.

I submitted intent to file on 8/2016, submitted my fully developed claim with all records and diagnosis needed on 7/2017, had a C&P for re-evaluation for Asthma, Sleep Apnea, Bronchiecstatis, Restrictive Lung Diesease, Aspergilliosis on 7/19/2017 at QTC, had another C&P for Mental Health (Anxiety) on 8/9/2017 at QTC.

Today, 9/1/17, it was changed to Prep for Decision.

I just wanted to share the update on my claim with my fellow vets, since this website has helped me a lot and there a lot of good people helping vets here.

Granted it was a re-eval from 60% SC to ???, I think It has been moving pretty fast, just hope that the actual decision phase comes soon.

Thank you!

jfrei, no I do not, I have been told that it is a bit harder to get the C&P report from QTC. I was going to wait until they made a decision but I am not sure if that would make a difference in the process.

request in writing that your requesting a copy per FOIA and see what they say I waited a week and received a copy one from QTC and one from VES... I covered my grounds I went to the release of information at the hospital so they called for me and found andtold me to go to the regional office the gentleman said I couldn't if I have a claim or appeal pending. I laughed an appeal pending the date  on its from 2012 its not going anywherehe laughed said come back next week. I then also made a copy of the letter submitted it through ebenefits and put my mailing address SSN what I was requesting into the claim still open. I then called the next day said it would take 30 days. But someone working on my claim I guess say the request in the mail two weeks later I had a copy in the mail. Im not saying that my OCD didn't piss allot of people off pisses my wife allot I waste allot of useless time pondering what ifs until I get help.... But I have both copies now

    • I would like to meet other Hadit members who live in Michigan.  We have at least two major VA Hospitals (Battle Creek, Ann Arbor).  Or maybe you go to the the John Dingell in Detroit.

I like Ann Arbor.  I like the fact that most of the doctors there are also at the UM Hospital.  I don't like how uickly they seem to turn over though.

    • Really?
I am confused.  A few days ago I spoke to a person at a VARO who said if I die from something other than service-connected my husband gets zero, zilch, squat.  Hmmmmmm, it seems the rules change willy-nilly...I have been rated 100% P & T for over 10 years, MS is static, and I am 56 years of age.

Can a fellow Veteran shed a light on this?

      Thank you.

    • Fund raising for HadIt.com
The site is supported through ads and ad free subscriptions, we are also asking for any support you would like to send our way. You can give a $1 or more it all helps. Keep in mind though that it is NOT tax deductible and we are NOT a non profit. As the site grows so do the costs and ads and subscription do not always keep pace with the costs. Any help is appreciated, but not required.
