NOD complete, letter updated. Back pay?

Rate this question

Question

Quick question, my appeal was approved at 100% with eed.

After having letters updated, how long does retro pay take to hit? I have heard up to 6 months? And seen people saying as little as 2 weeks?

Edit: this is a NOD, at my regional office.

Edit 2: my NOD was for an increase, and it was granted to 100%. Which, like I said, is reflected in my letters on ebenefits correctly at 100%. The letters updated last Thursday.

Not sure what to think.

Thank you all for your help

If this is a BVA appeal grant, then the VARO has to implement it with a decision.  Yes, that can take 6 months or more, but it more often happens in under 3 months.

If this is a DRO (Regional Office) appeal grant, then it should be much faster.  You did not mention what kind of appeal it was.

The "how long" questions are hard to answer because its anybody's guess.  Its like asking "How long does it take to get to Grandma's house?", when we dont know where you are at, and where grandma lives.

Sorry, I edited my post to reflect that it is a NOD at my regional office

And my question is about AFTER they have decided on the matter. Ebenefits, and my VSO have told me that the decision was made to grant my NOD appeal.

So, my increase from 30% to 100% difference will come in on a different day than the usual 1st? Because right now my 30% payment is pending.

Timeline: NOD closed on the 18th. Ebenefits updated with 100% on the 26th. Today is the 30th.

So Back pay takes 3 months?
