  • Can a 100 percent Disabled Veteran Work and Earn an Income?

    employment 2.jpeg

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

The new pending House bill  can alter the lives of thousands of Blue Water Navy veterans and their dependents - if all goes well with it- ( HR 299)

It is to amend 38 USC with-hopefully-potential presumptive status for veterans "who served in the territorial seas of the Republic of Vietnam"

( HR 299  1116A)

I wish I could call in  but my hearing is so bad y'all probably run me off

PLEASE ASK THIS QUESTION FOR ME.

I had a question for you Ms berta and john and jerrel

How can the VA Award a 10% S.C. Rating and declare VA Free dental to a veteran for the rest of his Life? IN HIS 10% AWARD LETTER???

He is S.C. For nasal tissue tumors caused by a chemical substance while station In Japan and had nasal surgery while in Japan but needs more surgery to correct the problem from tumors from reappearing in his nasal cavity...

the Military has give him a Medical Discharge and he is back home in Texas..he went to the Dallas VAMC to request the surgery for these tumors and the VA TURNED Him away? (Not sure why)

& IF he has this surgery out side the VA can he request the VA Pay?

he really needs this surgery bad  he has a hard time breathing and has a tumor growing inside his mouth and in his nasal cavity  and its causing him problems eating and drinking, why the VA Turned him away is anyone's guess?

I am helping him reopen his claim under the 3.156 (c)and had him to request all his medical records from the Yokosuka   Military Hospital in Japan before we file for increase and possible secondary conditions  he is only 23 years old and a 4 YEAR Navy Veteran

Have any of you guys ever heard of a Veteran getting free dental care from the VA the rest of his life and just be 10% S.C.?

Thank you All Much Appreciated.

Yes I realized the topic was BWN Issues  but I thought we could ask about any questions on the show? maybe not?

Yes as soon as I can get with him...I had him to request all his Records from NRPC AND  ALL HOSPITAL RECORDS FROM Yokosuka Navel Hospital.

I have a lot of question to ask him..so we need to agree on a place of meeting  or if he just wants to do this via emails and phone line.

I have limited Infor so for.

Buck- of course anyone can call in and ask questions on the show-

but we would probably have to ask them to ask the question here-with a lot more info on that award-

the Blue Water Issue has been going on for at least 10 years by now- and all of us here, advocating for veterans need to be on top of this issue...and of course the show timeframe is limited.

I foresee -hopefully-a new Nehmer situation coming from this legislation.

All of us should read HR 299 and listen to John Rossie's shows here on it-

    • I would like to meet other Hadit members who live in Michigan.  We have at least two major VA Hospitals (Battle Creek, Ann Arbor).  Or maybe you go to the the John Dingell in Detroit.

I like Ann Arbor.  I like the fact that most of the doctors there are also at the UM Hospital.  I don't like how uickly they seem to turn over though.

    • Really?
I am confused.  A few days ago I spoke to a person at a VARO who said if I die from something other than service-connected my husband gets zero, zilch, squat.  Hmmmmmm, it seems the rules change willy-nilly...I have been rated 100% P & T for over 10 years, MS is static, and I am 56 years of age.

Can a fellow Veteran shed a light on this?

      Thank you.

The site is supported through ads and ad free subscriptions, we are also asking for any support you would like to send our way. You can give a $1 or more it all helps. Keep in mind though that it is NOT tax deductible and we are NOT a non profit. As the site grows so do the costs and ads and subscription do not always keep pace with the costs. Any help is appreciated, but not required.
