is it absurd to request A &A for migraines rated at 50%?

I can't find anything anywhere where a claim has been requested for A & A due to migraines.

The 50% for migraines “very frequent completely prostrating and prolonged attacks productive of severe economic inadaptability.”

but migraines maxes out at a 50% rating and isn't a 100% rating as required for A&A on a single rated condition?

thoughts requested, not trying to go on a fools earned, input appreciated.

Good question.  My suggestion is you simply apply for an increase, to include SMC, as applicable.

In the case of A and A, I think that generally requires a 100 percent rating as a given.  Ditto for SMC S, housebound.

However, in the event of SMC "K"s (one or more K ratings), its possible you have k when you are not 100 percent.  You could have, for example, lost the use of a hand (one of the conditions for SMC K) and not have a lot of other disabilities.  That is, you could have lost your hand and not be 100 percent.

This is what CCK law says:

If you apply for the "maximum" benefit, let VA do their job and rate you.  Then, If you think the rating is inconsistent with regulations, appeal it.
