Compensation for children.

Question

Situation. I'm currently 60% disabled and have been since 2013. I have 2 children, ages 15 and 21. My oldest has been a full time student since he turned 18, 3 years ago. I noticed yesterday I was not getting compensation for him. I am filing a claim and expect to win. My question is, will the va backpay for the last 3 years?

I was drawing compensation on him up until 18. I didn't realize i had to re register for compensation.

You'd need a school certified form that says he was a student. It has to be sent from the school to be valid. I dont know that they would go back three years. The amount for over 18 aged dependents is different too, fyi.
