Ouch Posted September 26, 2018 Share Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) I have been 100%p%t for 6 years, i was 90% for 12 years and 60% for 20years I used DAV and was awarded 100 I know that I'm 57 and after 55, your benefits and rating will not change. i have SMC also and SSI. it was a long fight because i kept using American legion and they work for VA but my commander at DAV made me write daily symptoms, impacts on quality of life, very detailed as she said the VA are your friends you need to draw a picture of you, because the board has no idea who you..are.. write a good book to capture their imaginations leave a visual foot print. I know that it has the paperwork I need to get my family champva approved. My retro has already hit the bank. Not much but it came.
