Retirees CRDP/CRSC info

Rate this question

Question

There is a new member here (Army) as well as Rhodesia I believe-who need this info:

https://community.hadit.com/topic/70182-ptsdmst-crsc/

The criteria for these benefits  is in the thread-

CRDP is automatic but takes time to have VA send the info to DFAS. Somewhere here I posted DFAS contact info.

CRSC has to be formally applied for by the veteran.

I noticed no one posted this info to them days ago but I cannot find their threads.

Thanks for replying L-

The DFAS web site has lots of info

https://www.dfas.mil/retiredmilitary/disability/payment.html

DFAS 800-321-1080

Also the above link has to contact them on line.

I bet you know more about CRDP/CRSC then most of the vet reps out there.

CRDP is automatic but everyone should call and check as you did, to make sure VA sent them the info they needed.

I wonder if the vet reps out there even have the CRSC application to give to vets on their POA who might be eligible..

"Combat related" is defined in this pdf.  and goes beyond being in actual combat.

Agent Orange for example was a weapon of mass destruction, presumptive to any Boots on ground- Vietnam veteran-regardless of their MOS in Vietnam.

"AGENT ORANGE (AO), GULF WAR (GW), RADIATION EXPOSURE (RE), MUSTARD GAS OR LEWISITE (MG) - These codes should be entered for disabilities awarded by the VA on the basis of presumptions relating to certain disabling conditions described below, even though there is no direct connection and the disability did not occur immediately. You should describe the place, period, and conditions of exposure. These conditions include exposure to Agent Orange, radiation, mustard gas or lewisite, and Gulf War service. NO OTHER CODE APPLIES (NA) - None of the other"
