  • Can a 100 percent Disabled Veteran Work and Earn an Income?

    employment 2.jpeg

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

Question

Thanks to the gentlemen that put together (ladies too if they're behind the scenes) the podcast.

I enjoy listening and find myself talking to the laptop while the forum that is broadcasting tries to deceiver each others words.

I hope the host gets past his cough and is not in any pain.

I will say, tonight we heard a lot of feedback/background noise and it sounded like someone was opening and closing lots of cabinets.  😎However, I know your time is valuable and wanted to say thanks for dedicating your spare time to helping us out here.

Take care!

 Podcast show on date  9-13-18

I understand what you mean, when I get on my lap top and listen to the show , I go into a quite room and plug in my ear phones  other wise I can't hear them,  just out of the lap top speaker.

I have a hard time hearing Dr Bash  his voice is just to light...I do wish they all would speak up or some what louder   not only for me  but I would think that 60% of veteran do have some type of hearing impairment and if they are listing to the show  the information they give out is crucial to helping them win their claims  so we need to hear what is being said.

I wish I could hear well enough to call in

I wanted to ask that Mr Bill Creager  about Veterans that have had their MOS change while in a combat zone...and were injured , but when they file their claim  the VA denies because they say the MOS was not on the DD 214  Just their original MOS....B/C some veterans in a combat zone has what is called a Temporary MOS and it was never recorded on to the DD 214..in other words without a document showing MOS was change  this puts a damper on the veterans claim..how would he prove his MOS was Temporary? as I refer to Vietnam Veterans.

Bill Creager, Jerald Cook , John Basser Alex Graham??

Also IF I heard Bill Creager correctly?

he mention on the hadit show last night 9/13/18 to jerel that veterans can use the DBQ and get any Dr to fill it out and they are suppose to use it?

I had understood we need to get a Dr to fill it out in the expertise of what your disability/condition is.?

But According to Bill  it can be Any Dr   that can fill out the DBQ.  IF I HERD HIM CORRECTLY SAY THAT???

For those that don't know Bill he is a retired senior Rater.

    • I filed for my mitral valve regurgitation heart disease secondary to a service-connected condition on 7-30-18. It was granted on 8-30-18. Since I filed for this heart valve issue and was awarded, can I still file for hypertension ? I have been seeing comments that you should file for hypertension first and file for heart disease as a secondary. Can I file for hypertension as a secondary to my heart disease ? I am alittle confused on this matter.

    • I am a 100% disabled veteran, At first I was super excited to find out I am getting retro pay for back benefits to 2006. But that was over 2 months ago. I been waiting and waiting and calling to ask them wheres my back pay. They first told me "one month" than I call again. The guy started reading a script of basically "we are malingering on paying you" type crap. I was wondering if there is any number I can call besides that 800-827-1000 number to inquire about my status. I don't know why its taken so long when there is specific information telling them from the judge that VA owes.

There was a remanded to see if I was eligible for IU (I get it now since 2014 im actually 90% with 10 of that been IU). I been on SS since 2004. Can Someone help me out? Thank you

    • You might have a 38 CFR 3.156 situation-

meaning the VA might have considered your claim in 95/96 as "not well grounded" and failed to even get your STRs.Or they did get your STRs but never considered the specific entry you cited here.

Lots of discussion under a search, of 38 CFR. 3.156 (a)(b) (c) ---here is a winner:
