Question

I received a letter from the BVA dated May 24 , 2018 stating that I had been granted service connection for some issues and a remand for other issues. I am still waiting on an effective date and rating. My question is will the VA implement the grant while waiting on the remand? how long does this process usually take? I was ok while my case was on appeal but since I received my grant I have went crazy. I check e benefits 3 times a day and i cannot stop wondering what my new rating is. How long does this process take? I thought I had won my case but nothing has changed. sooo tired of waiting on the VA. Any info on time would be great or any suggestions to speed this up.

@LJM, has your husband received his award at this time?  Was his case remanded? There are several things you can do to speed up your claim if you have a lawyer representing you.  Please start your own post if you want to reply to this question.

My husband is in Legacy.  He received his decision on March 7.  Increased rating on Migraines and remand on TDIU.  His increased grant increased his overall rating to 70%.  This has still not been implemented.  He is also supposed to get retro back to 2005.  No sign of that either.  Ebenefits appeals status just says "remanded appeal".  We are approaching 7 months since the BVA grant and No change in anything that we know of.

Kelly did your husband receive his Grant's? I'm in the same situation.

Funny this came up today.  We received a return call from the White House Hotline YESTERDAY.  Over 2 years since remand.  they stated that his SOC was. mailed yesterday and that he was DENIED!  Waiting on letter.  We are totally sick!   Once we get the letter, we will know what we need to do, if anything.  If we don't submit anything else, it will be sent back to BVA.

Kelly, sorry that you and your family is going through this. You are not the only ones sick. Years ago I was in a similar situation. I continued my claims and was finally granted 100% scheduler. I recently received a BVA grant for an EED back to 1998. It still hurts the hardships that I went through and no amount of money can replace what I lost. I can only look forward whenever I get this resolved.
