TDIU loan forgiveness question

Question

Hello,

I’m currently TDIU and and will hit the 5 year mark in about a week. I applied for the TPD loan forgiveness about a month ago and submitted everything I could think of, (AB8, TDIU approval letter, application and dd214.) I’m still awaiting final review, but I recently called the VA and they said I have a “review” up in April all of a sudden, which I never had to do. Has anyone heard of TDIU loan forgiveness being denied or delayed due to something like this? I’m 90% service connected, TDUI, but where it says total and permanent it says “no.” I’m not sure why it says no, honestly, because I been disabled for over 10 years now. I never questioned it, but now I’m worried I may get denied and wont be able to re-apply for another year if I get denied (so I’m told.) How would I apply to have the record reflect my disabilities are total and permanent, even at just 90% and 100% TDUI? And has anyone been denied in this case while on TDUI?

Any help is appreciated!

@Mroberts

I know this is an old thread, but did you get your discharge under TPD?

The current criteria is you have to be P&T, did your situation resolve in your favor? did you get P&T?
