Question

I just checked ebenifits and my claim is at preparation for decision. I'm confused because I have an appointment with a VES audiologists tomorrow for the hearing portion of my claim. Does this seem right? Can anyone explain it to me.  Thanks in advance.

Sure, I can explain it.  You "assume" ebenefits is accurate, when it isnt.  Once you take away that assumption, its probably some inaccuracy on ebenefits, OR, you have more than one claim going on at once.  (likely).

I'll take a stab at it. It happened to me on my last claim. E bennies went to preparation for decision then in 24 hrs went to gathering of evidence. It delayed the process about three weeks when it showed my claim "not service connected" in the disabilities list. (bummer)

The more accurate way to  look at ebenefits is when it shows "service connected" or "not service connected" in the disabilities menu. It'll drive you crazy if you keep looking at the stages of a claim.

The most accurate way to get your results of a claim is when you receive your granted/denial letter.
