Eligible for Medicare due to ssdi

jfrei

Question

Is it my understanding my family has to pay for this in May when I’m eligible? Is it worth it? So far it’s always been a call away to collections every time until I call ChampVA to pay each provider is that the norm? Scare the xxxx out the wives until we call after being put on hold for 45 minutes...

You now get ChampVA  its for your family, call private clinic to see if they accept ChampVA Insurance  & when you use ChampVA be sure and tell the clerks at the  private clinic you use  that ChampVA does have electronic bill pay and not just snail mail...

You need to use VA For your dental work but family  you need a supplement going through ChampVA they have dental companys that give discounts to 100% veteran and  his family . Delta Insurance is who my spouse uses  but we do have to pay the supplement to use it,  its cheaper rates than the normal cost for dental insurance   the number for delta insurance is #

1-855-370-3303

Jfrei ,it would be good for you to call ChampVa Public Affairs Officer him self out of the Denver Office (Glen Johnson)   you can ask him any questions about how ChampVA works

National ChampVA # 1-800-733-8387

Thanks they have dental through MetLife I will definitely be calling him. I already spoke to some one last week they said it was outgoing and the place who did my wife’s surgery said it would take ChampVA why we went there to have the surgery they just can’t be on hold for 45 minutes a call like I was before getting the answer... maybe Mr Johnson can explain the delay

You also can call Glen Johnson at his Office   I don't have his phone # but I think its in one of the Hadit Podcast archives  shows ,  he gives it out for any Veteran that needs to call him. Ms berta may have his #?

Yes Met-life and Delta....We found the Delta to be cheaper for the monthly Premiums both are suppose to be good Dental Insurance company's.

With you on Medicare

Usaully ChampVA has Yearly 50.00 deductible after that they pay 20%..They send out the EOB after they send the Dr's $$$  so keep all your EOB's don't throw them away

Medicare pays the 80% which is your primary  ChampVA is secondary.

Medicare has a 183.00 yearly deductible

It maybe different for you but this is the way it is for my spouse  since she is on Medicare and has ChampVA
