C&P Exam Copy

Howdy All. 

I just recently went through 4 separate C&P Exams and have a couple more I think. I asked the provider for copies of the reports but they said they could not give them to me. So I contacted the VA and they said fax in the request. I did and apparently that is a FOIA request. Estimated completion Feb 2019. Is this the only way to get copies?

Maybe not.  Can you go to the VAMC where the docs did the exam, go to the Release of information office and request them?  At my VAMC, you can "walk out" with a few pages of medical records right away, but other VAMC's may be different.  

Other than that, you cant get the c and p exams.  Since the VA paid for them, they own them, and are allowed to take their sweet time with everything.

all of them were coordinated by the contractor LHI and I saw providers at outside locations. None of them were done at a VA clinic. So guess I just have to wait.

Even though they were done by contractors you should be able to get copies in a month or so at the VA release of information office.

Yeah you need to wait a few days maybe a couple weeks  the contractors have to write up a report on the exam and send it to the VA..USUALLY IN A WEEK OR SO  then the VA RECORDS IT AND IT IS PLACED IN YOUR RECORD FILES AT YOUR VAMC...YOU CAN REQUEST THESE RECORDS BY THE DATE OF THE EXAM...AFTER A FEW WEEKS.

OR CHECK AT THE VBA Office request the exams there.  a VSO can check on the computer for it and if its there he/she can make you copies.

I had a QTC C&P and I got my report from the VBA office in couple weeks after the exam....also you should have received a fax# from this contractor  for travel pay and to request  a copy of the exam  but you need to request it.
