Should I file multiple claims

Question

Hello fellow vets! It has been a while. I was a paratrooper and served in Desert Storm. I have been dealing with headaches and unanswered pain for years. I recently saw a commercial about the type of pain I had so I made an appointment with a neurologist. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Now that I have a better understanding of it, I see where this could have come from the military. I also suffer from ED and have for some time. I am not sure if it comes from the meds I take or from the vigorous yanking from the parachute being inflated while jumping. I am seriously inquiring. Does anyone see where I would have a valid claim or should I just continue to deal with it on my own. Please help. Thanks!

Fibromyalgia is one of the gulf war presumptive disabilities (along with chronic fatigue and gastrointestinal disorders, not to be confused with GERD.) That being said, if you served in the middle east, you will not actually need a nexus for this as it will be presumptive. With your claim,  I would state on your claim that you believe that it is due to your service in the gulf war.  Submit all records of current and past medical treatment for fibromyalgia with your claim.

With regards to the ED issue, I would follow the advice already offered.

Are you saying all Gulf War Veterans that have  presumptive condition  don't need a Nexus?

38 CFR 3.317 (a)(2)(i)(B)

Yes, the VA will presume it is due to Gulf War service as long as it has lasted 6 months or longer and it appeared before December 31, 2021, and is 10% or more disabling and meets the criteria specified in the above CFR reference. Much like with AO presumptive, with Gulf War presumptive, the presumptive is the de facto nexus.
