Are there options out of the Legacy Appeals process?

Rate this question

Question

RAMP was useless.

The VA never opened the other lane to directly appeal to the BVA in RAMP.

Is there a path to get my appeals into a direct lane to the BVA with the new system implemented on 2/19?

My understanding is that veterans who are in Legacy Appeals, will remain in Legacy Appeals.

Is this true?

Negatory, File a VAF 10182. Here's the link to download the document:

https://www.va.gov/vaforms/va/pdf/VA10182.pdf

The new regs say you can jump in after you get a SOC or SSOC. Read up on the instructions carefully.

(Scratches head)...

I received a (Ramp Supplemental Claim lane)  denial dated Feb. 8, 2019, and forms for appeal were enclosed.

These forms enclosed were a "Ramp election" form (which was a VA pre printed 21-4138 opting into RAMP), as well as a document titled "RAMP REVIEW RIGHTS".

The VAF 10182 was "not" enclosed.
