Question

Okay. I have to figure this out. Hubby had a appeal in ramp and they denied all Then reopened two claims themselves. Got letter from dav that he was approved 30 percent for migraines Then got decision letter denying both but they added me and said he had 30 percent after telling us They denied claims. What do I do. Va says they don't know but have it as denied. Wish I could send the letter so you can see.

Sorry.  A DAV letter wont help you.  All the DAV letters I have seen have a disclaimer that they are not official.  The VA wont "honor" a DAV letter.  You probably dont have recourse agains the VA, but you could try suing DAV, but that may not be productive.  I mean..gee..everyone makes mistakes.

Yes I agree with broncovet  a DAV Letter  is ''UnOfficial''and its suppose to state that on all DAV Letters  even the decison letter they get from the VA OR Your VSO..

Only is it official is when it comes Direct from thew VA and you get the  ''official packet '' with the decision.

And the letter letting you know what to do if you disagree with the decision.

A printout of your ebenefits plus about $10 will buy you a cup of coffee in most places.  But so will $10 with nothing else.  You can not rely upon ebenefits dates, if you follow their link it explains same.

Example:  My ebenefits said my claim would be completed in October, 2019.  It was mailed to me on Feb. 8.    The rest of ebenfits is consistently unreliable or out of date also, with a few exceptions, notably "VA letters".
