So I have wondered this. Why do we need the medical opinion when it says right on the drug it could cause this effect?

We dont have to like VA regulations, and they dont have to make sense.  We just have to follow them, if we want benefits.  The Caluza elements (required for SC) for secondary conditions are:

1.  Current diagnosis of ED.

2.  Doc's statement that your ED is "at least as likely as not" due to a medication prescribed for a SC condition.  

      Its not enough its on the label.  The label may be a study of `100 men who took the drug, x percent experienced ED.  However, the  men in the study have not applied for SC, you have, so you need a professional opinion similar to the one I stated in numbers one and 2 above.

i just saw this. i never knew this was a symptom of proton pump inhibitors.....i have been thinking this whole time that its my PTSD(which may be a factor) but now i want to see if my doctor will talk to me about this!!!! holy moly  i learn so much from this place!!!
