Can I file Secondary for Migraines while also filing for PTSD?

Question

I know my Migraines are due to my PTSD. I've been going to the Vet Center for the last couple of months and finally have my paperwork to turn over to the VA for a claim. It says I do have PTSD that's related to my time in Iraq. Can I also file for Migraines secondary to the PTSD or do I have to wait to first become service connected?

Yes

The Relationship Between PTSD and Migraines

''Veterans can suffer from migraine headaches for a variety of reasons, including PTSD or a traumatic brain injury (TBI), and these headaches can have a devastating impact on quality of life.

Researchers aren’t certain why people who suffer from PTSD are more likely to experience migraines, but it’s believed that the symptoms of PTSD contribute to high stress levels and emotional tension and pressure.

This stress can be a catalyst for these headaches. It is known, however, that a veteran or any person who suffers a TBI will likely experience headache problems.

And because the brain reacts to trauma through pathways that are similar to those in migraines, these types of headaches can be a result of a TBI. Additionally, the link between a TBI and a migraine can be PTSD.''
