YOUR words dont matter that much.  Did/does your doctor state your OSA is at least as likely as not due to PTSD?  If so, your wording wont matter, just apply.

Its all about evidence, and statements from the Veteran are lay evidence only.  You need medical evidence.

bronco is right.  You need a medical doctor to link them in one way or another.  I always to a statement, but that is just me.  As for writing this you need to talk about how you ptsd is affecting you sleep apnea.  How it is aggravating it.

You need a qualified Dr 's opine to say  he has read your medical records and examine you and it  is likely as not your S.C. PTSD   is  related to your Sleep Apnea. OR some thing close to this.

The Dr needs to go into full detail as to why your OSA is related to your PTSD Medications and any other reasons your PTSD could cause you to have Sleep Apnea , he needs to nexus the two secondary to your PTSD Med's and give his  full opinion . this Dr needs to show his/her credentials/specialist  ect,,ect,,,

if you use a Prescribe VA  C-Pap machine   the Dr needs to say it it medically necessary that you do use it.

You more than likely will be sent to a C&P Exam For this and your Symptoms/how many and how long your apnea's episodes are checked by the examiner.

its not easy to get Sleep Apnea Claim Secondary to PTSD/Meds...you need a good qualified  Dr to help you.  ....>without it you probable will be denied.
