  • Can a 100 percent Disabled Veteran Work and Earn an Income?

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone ever gone to there Primary Care Dr and request to be seen by a VAMC Specialist? So from my experience I have a claim pending and I had asked my Primary Care doctor for a couple of referrals to certain Speciality Clinics. So what these clinics are doing is calling you and not leaving any messages. Then when you return the call it's the hospital main number and so you have to do the leg work as to figure out who called you. So this is no joke. I happen to look through my VA medical notes through ebenefits and a Neurologist stated that he tried several attempts to contact me which isn't true. They didn't even send me a letter stating to call or they had made several attempts to contact me. So I was trying to get an updated EMG from the Neurologist to support my claim that there has been no change since the last 2 previous ones that came back abnormal but instead he gave his medical opinion based off of my recent MRI? So what I'm noticing that these clinics are doing is calling and  not leaving any messages or not reaching out by letter that they have tried reaching out to the veteran. This is so unfair and uncalled for. I'm going to go back to my primary doctor to make not of this and that I was requesting an EMG and that the Neurologist decides to give his medical opinion based off of my Mri instead of giving me an updated EMG test. Smh... Any suggestions anyone????
