Question

Are Nasal Retention Cysts the same as Nasal Polyps.

Group member service connected for Sinusitis and CT scan shows Nasal Retention Cysts.

Can they be claimed secondarily to Sinusitis?

No they are not the same.

Yea, you can probably file a claim for them, however whether or not the claim suceeds is probably based on 3 factors:

1.  Did a doctor state that your nasal cysts are at least as likely as not secondary to your sinisitus??  If not, you will need an IMO of the same for the claim to suceed.

2.  What are the symptoms?  A diagnosis, even if sc, does not necessarily mean compensation.  You get compensated for symptoms, once diagnosed.

3.  Lastly, you wont get paid for the symptoms of the nasal cysts and then the same symptoms again for sinisitus.  Pyrmading prevents double dipping with the same symptoms.

Therefore, if you have a nexus, and if you have symptoms, seperate from your sc sinisitus, then I say go for it.  Otherwise, it may not be worth your time, unless you want to spend the money on an IMO and you may wind up with 0 percent, unless these cause you some severe symptoms, in addition to those caused from sinisitus.
