If you already have been examined and it has been determined that you do have SA, what do they expect to find from a C&P? Do they really need to perform another sleep study? Obviously you will need to attend but you need to ask why a second C&P for SA.

Did VES perform a sleep study?

You need at least 5280 C and P exams to get benefits because they want you to "walk a mile" to get it.  lol

No, one C and P exam "should suffice" if its done right the first time.  You probably should call them and let them know, however, it could be different c and p's for different issues.  As an example one could be for sleep apnea and a cpap, another could be for SMC S (housebound).  These are different but they "could" yield the same result.  Or, you could get one and not the other.  For example, your sleep apnea could be denied, but you could be found, "housebound in fact" and be awarded SMC S anyway.

No they just wanted to know if a doctor prescribed a CPAP.  Very short and to the point.

Interesting. I have had two sleep studies (private doctors) and both exams show I was put on a CPAP. Curious to see what the next exam will entail. Perhaps LHI needs to verify VES findings. Would not be surprised.

The VA just wants to make it hard on all us veterans seeking our benefits...we do as they say or else be denied for no show.
