Vertigo and after effects

Rate this question

Question

I was wondering and had heard this at times. If you are diagnosed with vertigo, does the doctor notify the state and will it affect your driving. I know they don't for Menieres and that is worse then vertigo.
But I was wondering for those who had vertigo, if that had ever occurred. I have it, but it may not be worth losing my driving privileges. Thanks for any advice

Sometimes the doctor will fill out a certificate of morbidity that will be filed with your state.  If this is done you will lose your license.  I lost mine for a year this way.  Losing your license is a hard thing to do but as GBArmy states if you are losing consciousness why drive?  You must ask yourself if this condition actually affects your driving making you unsafe, you might have an accident and injure an innocent person.

As Vetquest and Paul said we have to take care that not only we don't put ourselves in danger, but we must be responsible about others we might harm as well. I hope you have some transportation that helps you. Take care.
