  • Trouble Remembering? This helped me.

I have memory problems and as some of you may know I highly recommend Evernote and have for years. Though I've found that writing helps me remember more. I ran across Tom's videos on youtube, I'm a bit geeky and I also use an IPad so if you take notes on your IPad or you are thinking of going paperless check it out. I'm really happy with it, I use it with a program called Noteshelf 2.

Veteran dead for four days

I do not think the public is ever going to get fed up with the VA's treatment of the vets and demand something be done.

while I agree that sometimes, okay seemingly often, the VA does immeasurable harm to vets, in relation to this story I don't see the article saying it is a VA run home. Seniors in assisted living houses across this country frequently face this same garbage and it is nothing new.

Back in the 70's a neighbor who was an elderly nurse had to put her husband in a very expensive assisted living home..in under a month they killed him with this type stuff and the only "silver" lining in this is the nurse had already contacted the state authorities and they were preparing to raid the joint the week he died. She was unable to get him out of the place because the onsite doctor refused to allow transport or transfer. The owners and doctors got a slap on the wrist.

This kind of stuff makes my blood boil. The VA is connected, but it is way more than the VA.  How can anyone who works at a nursing home facility go to work and see that crap every day. Don't tell me they are afraid to lose their jobs and are scared to report it. That's bs.You mean most of the people that work there didn't know the patient died 4 DAYS AGO! Not buying that either. A place like that exists because no one wants to say anything. It's all about the Benjamins. If you work in a nursing home, you can quit today and start someplace else tomorrow. That's just talking about the regular workers. How about the supervisors, lower and middle managers, the custodian, the nurses. etc. etc. I don't know how you could see that crap going on day after day and look yourself in the mirror. No, it's not just the VA.
