VA Disability IBS

Question

I have a question for the community.  I have recently been given 10% disability rating for IBS.  I feel like I deserve a higher rating than this.  I have IBS with diarrhea.  I also get hemmorohoids often.  Also just got diagnosed with a thrombosed hemorrohoid which almost required surgery.  I also have accidents quite often.  does this sound like grounds for a rate increase to anyone and how would I go about applying for a rate increase?   Any input would be appreciated.

Probably.  Did you look up the schedule of ratings for IBS and compare your symptoms to your disability level?

Now, I could look them up for you, but you are better off learning that yourself.

If the decision is still in the appeal period, consider strongly filing a nod.  "Occassional" incontinence doesnt sound like it would look good on your resume.

I suggest you go for it, either appeal if within a year, or file an increase if its been over a year.
