Fat

Question

Veteran is scheduled for a C&P Exam for hypertension and right foot.

The C&P for hypertension is fairly understood, but there are questions about the C&P for the foot.

What do these terms mean?

1. DBQ MUSC Foot Conditions, Including Flatfoot (1)

2. DBQ Medical Opinion - MED : MUSC Foot Conditions, including Flat Foot (1)

3. DBQ Medical Opinion- MED: MUSC Foot Conditions, including Flat Foot 2 (1)

The exam is not at a VA Hospital, but a contracted to secondary medical placement.

Yes, and, importantly:

1.  How does "flat feet" affect your life and

2.  How did flat feet occur in service??  (What was the nexus and in service event).

Now, here is the deal.  Its my opinion, the military often makes its troops "carry too heavy" of a backpack.  My son carried one weighing 160 pound or more and he weighed less than that in service.

So, he was literally carrying another person for miles and miles.  This is very hard on your feet, and knees (probably back, too).  Lots of times we dont notice what a problem that was until something goes wrong many years later.

It sort of reminds me of someone trying to haul gravel in their VW.  You can haul gravel in a VW...if you do it with a 5 gallon bucket of gravel at a time!!!  But dont expect your 4 cyl VW engine to haul the same load as an 18 wheeler gravel truck.  Or, if you are forced to do so (in the military) why should the military be suprised when we "wear out" way too fast!!!
