Question

In July 2019, The BVA approved service connected left knee disorder, bilateral hearing loss, Gout, and Hypertension that the VA denied back in 2003 & 20004 and sent back to VARO for rating and compensation.  The  BVA also remanded, PTSD, increase rating for Chronic Sinusitis and knee arthritis as well as TDIUl.  Just what is the next step for VARO and to get an ideal of when should I expect rating and back pay for Items approved by the BVA?

Short answer:  We dont know.

However, VA is required to give "expiditious treatment".

They are supposed to pay you for items awarded even while they are working on remands.

The BVA chairmans report lists "remand factor" as 457 days.  That does not mean yours will take that long, and it does not mean it will be done then, either.

I have had them happen in 4 weeks, and one took 3 years.  But, six months is about an average so you are right there.

My advice:  Contact the white house hotline and complain that you got a BVA award six months ago and no check.

I found out today that the VRO has completed my appeal package and it contains rating for 4  service connected claims that the BVA approved as well as 5 Remanded claims that VRO only asked "did I have any additional information for those claims that the BVA remanded?"  I was asked to verify my address.   Anyone knows what does this signal and the next step in this process?

andy.clark179 Your earlier post stated that your claim went back to the VARO to figure out what your ratings should be and also your comp based on that. They are asking you if you have any Additional info that would indicate a higher rating. If your conditions have worsened then the VA would want to give you an updated C&P. so you are compensated for your current conditions. If you reply that you don't have any additional evidence, then they might skip the new C&P and just develop your comp. Hey, it's the VA and they could be doing something else, but that is what I suspect they are doing. Gotta wait and see.
