Ok.  Make sure you understand the different denials of life insurance.  

1.  You were denied COVERAGE.  With life insurance, you have to qualify, and, especially people with health issues sometimes do not qualify.  

2.  You were denied "waiver of premiums".  This means you were denied "VA PAYING" for your first 10,000 of life insurance.  

     The differences between 1 and 2:  If you were denied COVERAGE, this means you wont have life insurance regardless of whether or not VA pays or not.  

If you were denied "waiver of premiums" it means you can still get insurance but  VA wont pay, instead, YOU have to pay for the life insurance.  

      YES, you can appeal these.  File a NOD.
