For almost everything you are going to want to post in VA Claims Research.
If this is your first time posting. Take a moment and read our Guidelines. It will inform you of what is and isn't acceptable and tips on getting your questions answered.
Remember, everyone who comes here is a volunteer. At one point, they went to the forums looking for information. They liked it here and decided to stay and help other veterans. They share their personal experience, providing links to the law and reference materials and support because working on your claim can be exhausting and beyond frustrating.
This thread may still provide value to you and is worth at least skimming through the responses to see if any of them answer your question. Knowledge Is Power, and there is a lot of knowledge in older threads.

OK, I am really not trying to be a jerk. Please try to look at it the way I am looking at it then tell me what you think. From where I am coming from is I don't know if this grant is to help veterans or to solicit for more donations. A $250.00 grant will help but a onetime grant in no way is it lifesaving. Since I stopped working I try my best to steer away from solicitors asking for money. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of good things one can help out with but due to the fact that veterans income is very limited and money is very hard to come by, this just sounds like a ploy and an advertisement for more donations. My thoughts are that more donations will be a lifesaving difference for the DAV Officers and not veterans. If this is in the wrong place please move it.
Disabled American Veterans offering $250 grants to veterans left unemployed by Coronavirus pandemic
“We are incredibly grateful for all of the generous donors who have made this relief possible,” Whitehead said. “While we don’t know when this crisis will end, we do know that we can make a lifesaving difference for our fellow veterans and their families with these grants.”
Veterans can receive one grant per household and are encouraged to also consider taking part in one of DAV’s virtual job fairs, which are still taking place during the pandemic. Many of the opportunities allow veterans to work from home, Clare said. To donate to the emergency campaign, go to DAV.org/relief or text RELIEF to 484848.
