Question

Thanks,  All The Way. I was rated at 30% after the temp 100%. My range of motion and flexion is no problem. There's just a constant pain that is kicking my but and none of the meds relieves it. My Orthopedic Dr is very good, but I can't seem to get the C&P examiners to understand about the pain. Revision maybe my only option, I just wanted to know if the VA pays the temp 100% after the revision surgery. Is there a reg that covers revision surgery?  Thanks for all your help.

TKR, what is your overall VA rating? Can you post it?   The VA had included pain within your 30% rating. You stated that your range of motion is good. Range of motion has a lot to do with your rating. Now the VA looks at it differently. " We have repaired your knee, your range of motion is good, we rated you for pain and give you pain meds." Thats how the VA thinks. Now what is the purpose for a revision? Defected product?

Vets always concentrate on the primary issue but never think about secondaries. For instance, one bad knee can cause the other knee to have problems. Bad knees can cause shin splints, bad ankles, bad feet. Can also affect your gait. Bad knees can also cause hip and lower back problems. Meds from the service connected can cause Gerd.

Don't get me wrong, if revision corrects the pain issue, go for it. Take care of you. Food for thought, just think about what other problems that your service connected disability can cause.
