Yes, they did this "about a month" after they turned down my wife for a vaccine because she was not a Veteran.  She eventually got one elsewhere, but it was a fair amount of trouble for her.  

If not for her daughter, my wife still would not have gotten the vaccine.  Her daughter is/was able to search multiple multiple places that do vaccinations, and found one with an opening about 15 miles from my house.

WE luck out  got a call from the VAMC in Dallas to come in Feb 1st  and my wife PCP office called the same day and made our appointments  her was first at 11:00am my was second at 1:15pm  and  they were both scheduled the same time for the second one  Feb 22 nd.  so that worked out good for us  although my wife had to sit in the car until I got my shot  which was about a 30 min wait.
