"AUSTIN, Texas – A lawsuit involving more than 229,000 veterans with hearing problems that they claim are linked to faulty earplugs issued by the military begins its first trial Monday in a Florida federal courtroom."

Just my opinion based on my wife's winning lawsuit.  If I was getting VA compensation for hearing loss, I would run from this.  Now, if you were denied or have not gotten anything from the VA, then go for it.  

Look up "subrogation" and the VA, which is the same a Medicare.  They will recoup money (comp) from your win.

Also, if every defendant won $500 bucks, it would be a 150 million dollar win, which is very high.  I suspect the winners will get a couple hundred bucks each.  Time will tell and I could be all wet here, but I would not be surprised if everyone just got free hearing aids, etc..

My wife won over two years ago, Medicare and the lawyers are still fighting over what Medicare spent on her, cause they can get it back.  No money yet.
