Ok so for the past few days the bva decision site has not work.

So my ? Is it my computer or is the bva decision site down too.

The old 8387 number no longer work.

I don't like all this new stuff I remember back in the days we had numbers to bva appeal management everybody  posted on hadit.

The 1-800-827-1000 # is not the BVA at all.

For a BVA question try this

bvaombudsman@ va.gov.

This email address  was still working about a year ago when I contacted them about something in their annual report to Congress.

I was stunned at the reply and used it as evidence for another matter (S 221).

Hey @Mr cue,

The BVA search decision search site appears to be back online. I used that yesterday and the day below when I found that decision we were discussing on my other topic.

https://www.index.va.gov/search/va/bva.jsp

Sometimes, I can call 1-800-827-1000 and they will transfer me to the BVA claim hotline.

I am surprised Peggy can transfer you to a BVA Hot line-THANKS for correcting me with that info Vync !!!!!.

My 800# experience has always been comparable to this commercial-

where we got the nickname  Peggy for VA 800#.

@Berta I had that happen quite a few times over the past two years. About 75% of the time, the staff at the Peggy call center can't (or won't) give me extra info on my other claims. However, one guy told me the BVA call center "has access to more details" and transferred me. They were much more helpful. Funny thing was I didn't have any active BVA appeals at the time. They were able to give me more info about my supplemental and HLRs. If the VA reads this post, I have a feeling that might eventually change...
