I think the average age of Vietnam vets is 74 years.  We are like the WW11 vets back in the 70's and 80's.  We are becoming fossils. Speaking of Afghanistan, it is reminding me of the fall of Saigon in 1975.  All those years of combat in Vietnam burned down to smoke and ash.  The same in Afghanistan.  All that money spent and the Taliban will get it all back in the end.  Each generation has to make the same mistakes it seems.
