Question

Just got this from NOVA.

https://www.knowva.ebenefits.va.gov/system/templates/selfservice/va_ssnew/help/customer/locale/en-US/portal/554400000001018/content/554400000173130/2021-05-10-Memorandum-of-Changes

"Compensation Service established an integrated project team consisting of regional office personnel (quality review specialists and coaches), as well as representatives from within Compensation Service’s other staff groups, the Offices of Field Operations and Administrative Review, and Pension and Fiduciary Service, all of whom collaboratively examined means for making the M21-1, Adjudication Procedures Manual (M21-1), a more consumable and navigable resource. The primary recommendations of the project team were to reorganize the M21-1’s content in a manner consistent with the progression of the claims process and to group content on special issues in a single, consolidated location. This document describes the plan to reorganize the M21-1’s content. This reorganization effort focuses on improved accessibility of content and does not aim to revise or substantively change guidance. "

They are with the government and are here to help us, right?  They are gonna make it "easier to read" and not change anything?

Hold on to your wallet.  The government's "used car sales team" is gonna make it easier for us to drive a car.  To simplify, the government is just gonna get your checking account and routing numbers, and just take out money for the car that "they think" is fair.  The Vet gets to spend "what ever is left over" (if there is anything left over) on anything the Vet desires.  This "simplifies" the car negotiating process, and Vets are better off, right?

Vets no longer have to negotiate the price of the car, the terms, interest rate..nothing.  Its all accomplished by the government, you just need to authorize them to take the money they need for the car each month.

We should be happy VA is "simplifying" this for us, right?

If the VA wanted to help us they would make the system a lot more user friendly.  We could also use a compensation increase by about 100% so we could live a decent life.  Also they could give surviving spouses more than $1400 a month to live on.
