I recently received mine, but it did not go as well as expected. I am curious about anyone else's experiences.

i got mine late last year(novemberish)

they are redacting c-files now. but now like you would think. they are blanked out...i have lots of blank pages and when i highlight the pdf you can clearly see its been covered over with whiteout/redaction instead of the standard black. its very frustrating.

Cfiles, if redacted, are done so before we receive them. We download them electronically from DPRIS or get them from the National Archives as PDFs. We don't do anything to them.

I have requested mine but have not received it so I sent a second request.  I'm sure they're going to be pissed but such it is.  I'm still waiting for it though

Mine took an excessively long amount of time to come in. The VA blamed the delays on COVID.

@Hamslice

Does the lack of any password or security cause you any concern you considering what is in the file? What if it had fell into the wrong hands during shipment?

@broncovet

My initial request about 10 years ago was a paper copy delivered in a huge box.

@blahsaysme2u

My copy was redacted, too.
  I also noticed numerous blank pages including some blurry pages which were from when a back of a pages was scanned and the front bled through.
  Mine is 10,000+ pages, so I have not made it to the point where I can examine any highlighting I made. I noticed a staggering amount of duplicate pages throughout. It doesn't look like my doing either. The content is poorly organized.

this too!! tons of duplicates: trying to find denial letters i found mutiples and multiple exams. lots of duplicate medical records too. mine is only 5000 pages. also pages are out of order...skipping from page 1 to 7 back to 2 etc.....its very frustrating
