Are there any PDHRA vets here? question for you

Rate this question

Berta

Question

PDHRA Post Deployment  Health Re Assessment .

If so was the MEDPRO PDHRA used as evidence for your claim?

If so did it help determine your EED?

Do you know what happens after this exam is done- meaning does it go into your SMRs or  Military Personnel file after your discharge?

Thanks for any reply-  Obviously I am  asking in regard to Blahsaysme2U's issue here.

I found some BVA cases with PDHRA in them-

We have access to more government systems than just your STRS

Yes, but the PDHRA should be in the STR or medical records, shouldn't it? I'm sure there are reasons why it wouldn't be, but as a general rule, shouldn't it be included?

I am not sure how it got in my record or when, but I do remember doing it at Ft McCoy, WI.

I did have to see a doctor (we all did) before we left country (Iraq), and they did ask us a bunch of questions.  Not sure where that went and if it was individual or a unit thing.

All I remember from that is the big tent and going in onside and out the other.  The doctor would yell, "next Badger" when he wanted another Soldier to enter.

Most of the questions were pretty generic and who the hell want to spend another day there, so, I'm OK, I want to go home.

Wisconsin is the Badger State, LOL,

Hamslice

"Next Badger"

It usuallly is in str or ompf, until it’s not. Don’t attribute to malice what is more likely incompetence. It’s not the VA that does your discharge physical. Sometimes I pull Dpris within a year of RAD. You’d be surprised what pops up in there months after you actually clear post. Discharging from NG and RESERVES is worse. They don’t immediately send your records automatically like active does so we have to call and mail to get them to actually do it....or wait until they finally bother to transfer them to the RMC. We at VA can’t get what we can’t get. There are more wheels than just us turning at one time.

That's a good explanation...I was reserves. It certainly was a cluster in more ways than a hundred.

I could go on and on. I was radar oreilly in my unit active and reserves. Not every unit has one and it shows. I’m the same way with this job. I actually give a shit.
