im posting this here bc, well ebennies still up but really this is a VA.gov issue now.

so i was awarded 100% EED of 11/21/2019 and that translated over to 12/11/2019 somehow. 

so i go on va.gov to download a letter for verification and i see this

i had a denial letter come in december for a claim but no decrease or increase in SC....why did the EED change on my benefit letter? i have the OG letter i downloaded when i first got 100%PT(didnt feel like searching for it till i saw this...was easier just to download a new one- so i thought.) here is the OG letter i downloaded in april of 2021(also there seems to be a lot of info missing like EED of P&T and the YES label from the new letter...)

i thought the same thing...but again, what are we supposed to do if we need letters to send in showing when we were awarded 100% P&T...especially like @Vync said for taxes etc. i mean thank godzil

You have to click on the one that says Benefit Summary and Service Verification Letter not the one that just says Benefit Verification Letter. I just generated mine and the 100% P&T date is o

That has me also scratching my head, too.  I know the letter generator is basically a "form fill" solution where they take some elements from your information in their database and merge it with a form letter. I remember having to print my P&T letter each year when I got my car tag renewed and it periodically had bad info in it. If you are POA'd with a VSO or lawyer with access to VBMS, they can pull up the code sheet info and tell you exactly. It should also be on the separate award letter when they granted you P&T.

    Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery” instead of ‘I have a question’.
    2. Knowledgable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title. I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.
    3. Use paragraphs instead of one huge, rambling introduction or story. Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading to:

    Post clear questions and then give background info on them.

    Examples:

    • A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine but claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?
    • B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • I was involved in traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

    This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial from your claim?” etc.

    Note:

    This process allows us to remove spam and other junk posts before they hit the board. We want to keep the focus on VA Claims and this helps us do that.
