Each day, caregivers look after and take care of our nation’s Veterans who need support. The Caregiver Support Program (CSP) recognizes their efforts and is here to support them. The mission of CSP is to promote the health and well-being of caregivers who care for those who served, focusing on improving the quality of life for caregivers.

Every VA facility has a CSP team that provides support and referrals to services for caregivers. They provide valuable information about resources to help caregivers stay informed and supported. Find a local CSP team using the locator tool.

I applyed for the program the minute it became available for pre 911 vets,  since my wife is my caregiver, ( the only thing I don't neded help with is typing and thinking)  The va asked a lot of personal questions, and made my wife very uncomfortable, because of this I withdrew the application. I think it a great program overall, but when they start asking questions about personal things, ( and this goes into your medical records for all to see)  you just have to cut the cord.

Like most programs, they often ask too many personal questions and for some unknown reason you have to be careful. I am not saying that they try to catch the applicant in a lie but why in the world would they need to know: How many times do you have to go to the bathroom? (THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE) but I think you get what I mean. It is ridiculous what they put veterans through.
