    Have Questions? Get Answers.

Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery instead of ‘I have a question.

    2. Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.

    3. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.

Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading too:

exclamation-point.pngPost straightforward questions and then post background information.

    Examples:

    • Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?

    • Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”

  • Can a 100 percent Disabled Veteran Work and Earn an Income?

    employment 2.jpeg

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

Site looks awesome, I like the new colors and everything else you have done. I know its a pain trying to design for all screen sizes and resolutions. I have my own pc set at 1024 X 768 and have used that setting for years. I laugh when I see one set at 800 x 600. Any way I dont worry to much about it with my site I assume most people these days are at 1024 x 768. I remember the old days when you had to check your website in all browsers netscape looked different than IE, than AOL. Now it seems everything looks pretty good. I checked my website on the puters at the VAMC Library and the site looked fine. I built my site a a width of 1024 with left and top margin set at 0. Again the work you have done looks great and if youve done all this yourself I commend you, because I know what a chore it is to run a site. My son showed me something cool as hell. http://www.archive.org/index.php

This is a archieve of everything that has ever been on the internet when you go to the link above you will see a box call waybackmachine type in the url of any old dead website and you will be suprised.

These are some of my past sites

www.gunnersride.com (my first website learned allot)

www.onegoodshot.com

www.millionmisguidedmommies.com

www.metal-horse.com

www.mausercrazy.com

two headers is correct the top header has the menu for the main hadit.com site. so you can access the content on the main site and then the forum banner just identifying the forum.

I'm on Mozilla and it's looks good to me. I am seeing an offset in the very top banner that I don't see in IE. It's no biggy to me as I can still see everything else properly. I am attaching a print screen so you can see what I am seeing.

it looks like it might squeeze the header a bit in moziall but it's not hiding anything so that is good. it looks good from here.

T-Bird,

I'm on MSN & site looks great. One thing I was wondering about is why is the question on bottom of page & the answers over the question instead of vice versa.

Also, can U tell me how to get in touch with Ken Carpenter?

Sincerly,

GARY gdsnide@hotmail.com

Looks very elegant, handsome and professional! I am not sure why my computer displays the page off the right hand side of the screen - maybe not computer literate as I think I am! cg

Screen is to wide for me also, any suggestion? The left side panel is a very wide margin that I shift aside in order to read the text of the messages. I dont mean to complain, just curious if I should do something different in my viewer - thanks! cg
