Anybody Use Dr. Bash Imo / Ime?

Rate this question

tssnave

Question

1. Has anybody used Dr. Bash or his associate for an IMO / IME? He advertises at vawatchdog.org and says he prevails 80-90% of the time at BVA. If so, were you happy with his service?

2. How do you circumvent the four letter restriction on the hadit search engine? So much of what we do with the VA uses an acronym that this restriction makes it difficult to look stuff up. For instance, "Dr Bash IMO IME" netted me nothing more than an error message that one or more of my words had four or less letters in them. Even if I spelled out doctor and independent medical opinion I still don't know how to get Bash as an additional search critera. Plus, how many of us write out independent medical opinion in the subject line? ARRRGGGG! There's gotta be a way around this that I just haven't figured out. Please share the secret with me.

Thanks,

ts

ts,

Dr Craig Bash is one of Berta's sweetie-pies, I'm sure she will come on tomorrow and give you some info. Another thing you can do is go to search BVA decisions, put in Dr Craig Bash or just Dr Bash, this will show you some actual claims he has helped prevail. I've heard he's expensive but worth it. He does not do mental health but will refer you to an associate.

jmho,

carlie

Many on this site and other vet sites scattered through the vast internet world have used him. I have not but have read some of the cases he has opined in and he appears to be a very knowledgeable doc. However, he is expensive. That is the reason for my question to you: Have you tried to obtain the required IMO from a local physician? Just wondering. Just as a side note I would guess that of the people that have used him about 95 percent of them are satisfied with his work. You can not please everyone but my guess on the precentage who like him is pretty good however, I am just an old retired redneck veteran from the south so don't put much stock in my guessing.

Oh yes, what type of IMO are you in need of if you don't mind sharing. If not that is understandable.

I have recieved IMO's from DR Bash, but my claim is still pending before the BVA.

All I can say about him with my claim still pending, is hes one of the best in the country. If you need an IMO, I highly recomend DR Bash.

TS,

Go to the HADIt home page (main site page), do your search from the google search- put a check in the HADIT box- type in Bash IMO IME- it will pull up all the acromnyms and Bash topics using that serch for hadit.

Also, we just got our award with the aid of Dr. Bash.(read success stories). He SC'd all my husbands conditions except PTSD (not his specialty). He is expensive I would recommend him always but the money is an issue. It just depends on what you are needing and how badly. There are some options depending on each individual case. Good Luck on your claim.

I am crazy about Dr. Bash. If the IMO is within his area of expertise he prepares an opinion based on the medical evidence as well as VA case law and regs-

I have gotten 2 IMos from him and they were both well worth the money-

he understood the SSOCs I had and also referred to VA regs in the opinion-

He follows the IMO criteria that VA requires-

there are other IMO docs too- medopinions here is also good- as they too have dealt with VA disability IMos.They have specialists for referrals.

Dr. Bash reads everything you send and is very complete in his opinion.

If he had been my husband's doctor at the VA, Rod would sure be alive.

Many of his BVA cases are at his web site.

I recently posted "Getting an IMO" with some tips and it comes up under search-

because many vets ask doctors for IMOs who are unfamiliar with the VA criteria as to how the opinion must be shaped.

Dr. Bash knows exactly what the VA wants and if the evidence is there he will address the medical evidence that supports your claim with a full medical rationale. And a nine page Curriculum Vitae.

His link is here somewhere for his web site and his email addy is there too.
