  1. DAMN Corporal, your Doc sounds like the one i fired in Fayetteville, AR,lol. She thought all Narc were bad for you no matter if they helped with pain or not. As for her getting on you about taking other meds, she cant do shit. As long as you saw a lic Doc, and he/she was aware of what you were currently taking, then your good. I know the feeling of not being able to find a position of comfort. I too have Arthur, and DDD throughout my spine. Not to mention a cervical fusion from c-2 to T-1. And my orig injury was to my lower back, so spasms are a constant. As for the effectiveness of your pain meds. Im on 45 mg Morph 4 times a day, and then a breakthru med of Oxy. The Painmanagement thing, works for some but not all. It didnt work for me. Right now the VA in general is getting heat from the DEA regarding all narcotics, and its gets past down to us. I wish you well. I found that moist heat works best, and doing diff things to keep my mind occupied helps to do mind control on the pain, but there are some days, and Im sure youve had them , where nothing works. 3. Id like to think im a patient person but getting those form ltrs once in awhile stateing Claim in Process is getting old, lol. Im at 80%. Got a question for my fellow Vets Ive appealed for IU from orig filling of nov 09, and waiting on deceision from a C and P on A&A that took place nov 10. was told maybe within 6 months on that. in regards to the IU , i havent worked since my stroke in nov 09, but my PCP didnt put the right paperwork in in time for IU, so when i was upgraded to 80% from 10% i didnt get IU, but i did get temp housebound. and now of course ive since applied for A&A since my wife is off work and taking care of me. my question is. with AA what sort of $$ could i be looking at??. and is there any general timeline , ie 6 months?

  4. Construction Equipment Operator 82-87 . Got my 10% SC for my back upon discharge in 87. was told it would get worse with age, lol. In 2008 aurther had worked up my spine and gotten into my neck, compounded by a stroke and had major surgery 7 vertaebrae had to be fused c-3 to T-2. or i would be paralysed on the left side. no im partial parylsed on the left to 60%. left arm , hand etc no feeling. left leg, knee in brace, walk with a walker. waiting on IU to be decided, A/A to be figured out, already getting SSDI. Found this site last night, very interesting reading, looking forward to chatting with my fellow vets and learning about things.
