I discovered hadit.com several days ago and I am looking forward to following various topics on this forum. I left the Air Force with a 30% service connection in 1968. I was able to use VA Vocational Rehab. benefits to get a BA and GI bill to get a masters in Occupational Therapy, long long ago. I had a great 30 year career as an OT but my service connected issues caught up with me and I retired at 100% p/t, schedular with SSDI benefits.
I am currently waiting on the outcome of my ILP program requests. It has been about one year since I started the application process and I am becoming frustrated with the length of time it has taken without a straight answer as to how long this process might take. The voc. councilor has told me that it is good that I keep checking in with her about my ILP status and that "it's good to keep reminding me". It certainly hasn't given me much faith in the process if she sees it as my job to keep reminding her that she needs to do her job.
