okay also @jbasser, I can think of probably about a dozen acronyms for FDC right now and none of them really relate to this so I think you're going to have to let me in on what that exactly means, please and thank you.

First of all thank you Carlie for doing that for me. So I appreciate all of the responses everyone. Now I understand that this is suppose to be a pretty lengthy process.. I'm more concerned with the fact that my VA rep is telling me to call her back on a weekly basis pretty much and then when I do I don't want to keep hearing from her "It looks like they took it out of the filing cabinet, and just put it right back in there", now if she is meaning that literally then it seems to me that these phone calls she's having me keep up on with her aren't doing a thing for this... or if she is meaning that in some sort of metaphorical way, then I have no idea what that means to me nor what to do about it. And as for what you said @boomer2, thats another thing about my VA rep, she hasnt said anything to me about doing any of the sort; gathering evidence to support my case and what not. Am I even that far along the road to where I have to be doing any of that yet? I mean the way I have perceived it is that my next step that I'm waiting for right now is to be seen by a doctor so he can look me over for everything that is pertaining to my claim.... so maybe I'm not even in this waiting room that everyone else is in yet??

Hello fellow veterans, this is my first post on here and I need some help. (Sorry if this is the wrong place for me to be posting this) I have recently filed my claim (coming up on 4 months), I know this is probably not along time compared to some others but every time that I call their office to get an update, and I'm calling exactly when my agent os telling me to call her, nothing has changed.. nothing has been done and every time I get on the phone with her she says that she will "talk to them" and "I'll take it up there myself" but then the call backs she'll say "they took it out and put it right back in the filing cabinet.." ANYWAY, none of it even makes sense!!! I don't know what to do, she told me that I could go to my congressman or my senator for help... I really feel like that shouldn't be necessary so I'm looking for help on here. Any suggestions? I see alot of you say that the best person to get anything done about this is only yourself but I'm not even to sure what that all entails, like I don't know what I'm suppose to do about this at all. Thanks in advance everyone.
