I am an Army retiree and currently rated at 60% service-connected. I have filed a new claim. I have 50% disability for depression, but no longer able to work. I was diagnoses with General Anxiety Disorder by the VA some time ago. It has progressed to a point of diminished cognitive-impairment.
I am a survivor of military sexual trauma. It was a rape. I was a private and I did not report as the perpetrator was higher ranking, he said no one would believe and I felt powerless. I once told my husband and he told me I was probably asking for it and called me a slut, so I stuffed it, for many years.
A VA psychologist diagnosed me with PTSD when I finally told my story.
I am very sorry. This is too hard for me at this time.
Thank you,
Peggy
Cancer Rates Among Veterans
in VA Disability Claims Research
Posted
McClatchy Investigators asked the VA for cancer information among the VA patients via FOIA request.
Now the VA says "Wrong Data" because cancer rates are skewed (elevated), you should use this data.
VA has a problem with numbers:
How many homeless veterans?
How many veteran suicides?
How many veterans are waiting for care?
