So in a few weeks I see what happens with my appeal. I have PTSD, the VA hospital perscribed me Prozac and I am up to 80 mg/a day. I started off on 20 mg. I was diagnostised with a Provisional diagnosis of...
Axis I: PTSD. Depression NOS
Axis II: Deffered
Axis III: No diagnosis
Axis IV: Gulf war issues
Axis V: 55
I researched what this means and from what I can tell, it's all "guesses" from the doc's. Nothing concrete to help my claims.
But, they say there is no proof that what I saw in Iraq (dead cholcoled black burnt Iraqies, etc.), chemicals in the air, breathing in that ash from byrning oil fields, etc., has any direct relationship to disorders I only got after the Gulf War. I was in the mix (3rd Infantry Division attached to the 1st Armor Division)...the main armor front spearheading towards Bagdad.
My first claim back with basically this the answer for every issue I had, "Service connection for sleeping disorders do to an undiagnosed illness is denied. Your service mediacal records do not show such a condition on active duty. The VAMC found nothing to explain any sleepnessless.
Isn't that what Suadi Syndrome is, undiagnosted shit that is in me but is undiagnosted? Don't symptoms of Saudi syndrom show up at a later date than the minute you go through it? i don't know, just frustrated.
The thing is, as I explained to them, I wake up at night and can't move, I know I'm awake but can't do anything but make a gurgle sound to wake up my soon to be x-wife (she's done with now...great).
My rage, anger, wanted to be in a room of my house alone, wanting not to go to work and deal with people, axiety, sleep jerks with nightmares, memory loss, self medicating with a lot of drinks, it is a rough way to survive in life.
I have a PTSD councling at a Vet Clinic here later today and hope that will help my condition too somehow.
Any advice or words of wisdom...please type away. Thx!
